The conflict between the Russian Federation and Ukraine has had a major impact on transport and logistics. There are extensive disruptions on all modes of transport.

In air cargo, the consequences of the closed Russian airspace are still having a significant impact on flight schedules, resulting in extended flight times and/or flight cancellations.

All flights to/from Ukraine remain suspended.

Singapore Airlines, Swiss, Japan Airlines JAL, ANA, FedEx and UPS have suspended direct flights to/from Russia. As well as all flights over Russian airspace.

Cargolux has introduced a war surcharge of USD 0.20/kg for cargo to/from Asia.

Lufthansa, Air France/KLM, Finnair, Virgin Atlantic have all canceled a number of flights in North Asia.

Airbridge, Aeroflot and Volga have canceled most flights to/from Asia. They are also not allowed to fly to or over any EU country.

Many airlines have already begun suspending a series of flights and have started alternative routes, resulting in increased flight times and higher fuel costs.

The major Chinese airlines are not currently affected and continue to operate in Russian airspace.
